Wow! This is so cool. I just watched the video of the painting with the little girl and her bicycle! What a neat idea to use stop motion. I really like it. A lot. You should do more! :-)

Thanks for the link! How did you find out about it? And how did you do it? They’re really neat! :-)

Melissa, I’ve always been fascinated with stop motion film. I’ve really enjoyed the concept, however I don’t really have the time to do both stop motion film (hardcore) AND painting full time. So, I get to play with small time stop motion with my paintings! It’s fun. It’s a frame by frame process. One year I dove into a bunch of stop motion books, animation, and also watched some of my fav stop motion artists. Anyway- it’s a much longer process than I can do justice to in a blog reply. Maybe sometime I can go into a little more depth of the process in a post.

You know, I just had a thought. :-) It would be really super cool if you could teach a lesson on one of those. Like, how to start a painting, how to see color, how to fix a messed up painting, etc. :-)

This is so great, Jen! You have such a gift, and I’m glad many who hire you get to enjoy it in their own homes. Makes me want to become a horse person :) or a dog person :)

lol- Thanks Beth! You’ll have to check out the “Moments & Travel” pieces…until you become a dog or horse person. ;)
